Coordinate Converter

Paste a coordinate in almost any format — decimal degrees, degrees-minutes-seconds, UTM, MGRS, geohash or a Plus Code — and get it converted to all the other formats at once, each with a copy button. A map shows exactly where the point is: click anywhere on it to convert in the other direction. The parser is forgiving about symbols, hemisphere letters and separators, so coordinates copied from GPS units, Wikipedia or survey documents usually work as-is.

Notes

  • UTM and MGRS conversions use the standard Krüger series on the WGS84 ellipsoid — accurate to well under a meter inside a zone’s normal extent.
  • Geohash and Plus Codes are open geocode systems: each extra character narrows the cell, so precision is a property of the code length. The tool shows the cell size next to each code.
  • Latitude bands I and O are skipped in MGRS on purpose — they look like digits. If a conversion seems one band off, check for that classic typo.
